The Grand Masters Standard is an adaptation of the coat of arms of the state of New South Wales with the addition of a royal grown.

The escutcheon is varied to depict the badge of the United Grand Lodge of New South Wales with the legend   "United Grand Lodge of New South Wales" around the perimeter, with the date of establishment.

The supporters are a lion on the dexter or left side with a kangaroo on the sinister or right side.

The motto,   “ORTA REGENS QUAM PURA NITES”.

Meaning: "RECENTLY RISEN. HOW PURELY THOU SHINEST," is the motto of the State of NSW.

The Grand Masters Standard is carried by the Grand Standard Bearer and precedes the Grand Sword Bearer and Grand Master at Grand Lodge processions and ceremonial occasions.
